Hello! My name is Amanda. And that this is my blog. I’d also like to introduce my husband Cole to you. We’re beyond excited to share our love of the outdoors with you here on justbeyondparks.com. Years ago we began camping in Myre-Big Island State Park and stumbled upon the Passport Club. A goal was set to camp two nights in each park (some do not have campgrounds so then we set a goal to spend at least a day exploring those few). While crossing parks off our list, my cousin and his wife told us about the Hiking Club – and we said, why not?! If we’re already camping in each park we might as well hike the hiking club trail in each park!
In recent years a dream began to build: we want to share our journey and inspire people through our love of the great outdoors. Minnesota has such diverse wilderness that so many do not know about. Between the Boundary Waters, National Forests, State Parks, and State Forests, there is so much to take in. We’ve also branched out and began camping our way through Iowa and Wisconsin parks too.
